Joy and the Present at the End of the Year

December 26, 2013 in General

At the end of the year, it’s hard to stay in the present. I am currently thinking a lot about the future: buying insurance, lining up editing jobs, planning a wedding. It’s Christmas Eve, and everything feels so rushed–we want to get it all done before the holiday so we can relax! In the meantime, we can miss all the joy that surrounds us.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year

December 10, 2013 in General

The holidays are one of my favorite times of year. I get to spend extra time with friends and family

The costs for cheap car insurance for a 16 Year Old in US

September 21, 2013 in General

If your son or daughter’s age is 16 years old now and he or she wants to have their own car for driving then you have to immediately find the cost of cheap car insurance. The rate of the insurance coverage mostly depends on gender and the age of the driver. If your child is 18 years old or less it means if he is a teenager, you have to pay a little extra amount for the insurance coverage or the premium. As the teenagers are not fully mature, their driving is considered as high risky than an adult driver.

Medical checkups and health cares normally needed for a 2-month old baby in Houston TX for a year ?

July 29, 2013 in Health insurance

My daughter, a Japanese resident, will stay in Houston TX from June for a year with a 2-month old baby boy. Please let me know what kind of medical checkups and health cares are needed and about how much each of them will cost to let the baby take them, on the assumption that he is healthy, not requiring special medical care. My daughter does not have her own work visa, but is covered by her husband’s. She hasn’t bought any health insurance yet.

Affordable Care Act’s “Employer Mandate” to Be Delayed One Year

July 18, 2013 in General

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148) (i.e. “PPACA” or “Obamacare”). PPACA’s “employer mandate” penalizes certain employers who do not offer affordable coverage to its employees. In addition, PPACA also requires, beginning in 2014, the creation of state-based “Exchanges,” through which individuals and small businesses can purchase coverage. These Exchanges will offer coverage without, among other things, any exclusion for pre-existing conditions.
