There is a certain kind of person who takes great delight in commenting on political blogs with a variant of the following:

“It’s no use voting! They’re all the same! It doesn’t matter what you vote for – a politician always gets in!”

No doubt you’ll be familiar with their work.

What would you do to reform Health Care?

July 22, 2013 in Health insurance

Have you looked at your last hospital bill. Is that the problem or is it the insurance companies?
What do you think the problem is with health care in the US, or is there even a problem?

How would you reform the US health insurance system?

July 16, 2013 in Health insurance

I am very leery of government control – I think the bureaucracy would waste dollars, and I’m extremely troubled by the idea of the government having so much control. I’d rather have my HMO cheat me than the government – at least there is one more than one HMO to belong to.

But people who advocate government-run health care have a right to ask what the alternative is.

I have a few ideas.

If the founding fathers were alive today, who would they agree with over health care?

July 14, 2013 in Health insurance

Liberal version – Access to health care is a fundamental right, no one should be denied coverage for “pre-existing conditions”, and there should be some degree of government regulation over insurance companies (unless the government wants to sell insurance).

Conservative version – Health care is a privilege, not a right. Pre-existing conditions should not be covered and it’s your fault for not having health insurance at the time. The government may not regulate the insurance companies so that they can increase their premiums and rates over consumers.

I’d bet they’d go with the liberal version.

How would you solve the health care problem?

July 8, 2013 in Health insurance

How would you solve the health care problem?
Assuming that you feel the current healthcare bill is flawed, how do you fix the following problems?

Health insurance companies can deny health insurance to anyone they please, at any time and for any reason. This includes sick and dying children, even when their parents have paid for them.

They have denied some bone marrow transplants (cancer) and operations for the blind to see, even when these people had their health insurance.

If you loose your job, and can’t afford cobra, (and really, who can while unemployed?) you no longer have health insurance.

If all the illegal immigrants where white would there be an immigration debate?

June 9, 2013 in Insurance jobs and educations

If all the immigrants where white there would be no imigration debate but since the immigrants are mostly hispanic you have an immigration problem some people are trying to protect this great country but others are just using the immigration problem as a cover to show that they are racist what i am saying is white people are comfortable around white people

Would you switch health insurance plans with these factors?

June 4, 2013 in Health insurance

On a grandfathered plan right now, and the Obama provisions do not apply to it for whatever reason.

The plan I’m looking at is the same, except the Health Act does apply, meaning I can get preventative maintenance checkups fully covered by the insurance.

The only difference, other than the health care act reforms being applied, is that the new plan is 250 more in the deductible, but the premium is 23 dollars less.

What do you guys think?
