What To Tell Your Doctor

August 8, 2014 in General

Last week at the grocery store, I bumped into a friend who had problems with a blister-like growth that had developed beside her left ring finger over the past few weeks. She ignored it and hoped it would go away, but after two weeks, the blister burst and drained and, after the wound closed, it began growing in size again. By now, she had resigned herself to going to see her doctor, but she was mad, her hand hurt, and she’d spent hours on the internet googling her condition until she found some diagnoses that seemed to match what she’d been experiencing.
“What will you tell the doctor tomorrow?” I asked her.
She didn’t miss a beat, saying, “It’s a ganglion cyst that needs to be excised.”
I chuckled, “But that doesn’t tell the doctor anything about what you’re experiencing. Don’t tell the doctor what the doctor should do, tell the doctor about you. The doctor is the one who went to school and knows the anatomy, but you’re the only one who knows what’s going on in your body.”
“I don’t understand what that means,” she asked me.
So, I asked her a few questions.
“How does your finger feel now?”
“Does it hurt? How much?”
“You said the growth burst; what happened that led to that?”
“Have you noticed any fevers, aching or tingling in your arm?”
“Does the growth impair the movement of your hand?”
“That is the information your doctor needs to know from you tomorrow when you go see your doctor. Tell your doctor what you’re experiencing in your body. That’s what will help your doctor diagnose what’s going on with your finger. It’s your body, let that be the guide.”

Here’s a Timeline to Tell if Your Sales Force is Major League

March 12, 2014 in General

Is your sales salary expense exceeding $189M this year? If you’re the Yankees, the corresponding response is [yawn], “yes”.  They will be paying the MLB luxury tax this year, as they do every year, for exceeding the League’s Salary Cap.  To the Yankees fan in the stands, if you buy one of the forecasted 2 million hotdogs expected to be sold in 2014 at the stadium near the parking lot covering the House that Ruth Built, recovering that $25+M luxury tax bill could make those dirty water dogs a bit expensive.  Even with free sauerkraut.

Can you tell me which of the following about Obama’s health care plan are true and which are false?

July 20, 2013 in Health insurance

1. Obama wants to kill your grandparents.
2. Taxpayers will pay for abortions.
3. Obama will eliminate private insurance.
4. The government isn’t efficient enough to run health care.
5. Everyone will be required to subscribe to and use this plan.
6. Illegal immigrants will be granted free medical coverage.
7. The tax increase from this reform will be the biggest in history.

If you answered “true” to any of these, you might want to do some reading.

Can anybody tell me how much % for all health care in the USA comes from taxpayers money?

July 19, 2013 in Health insurance

Some people pay there own health insurance, some have no insurance and may have to pay there own bills or get no health care instead, some have health insurance form there job. Many have large co-payments.Than how many people (working or never worked) get there health care provided to them at the expense off others(tax payers),would it not make make more sense if all health care for all people came out off one pool of funding with private health care as an option for those who wish to do so.

Tell me something: What’s wrong with a country that thinks government ran health care is a good thing?

May 24, 2013 in Health insurance

What is wrong with a country that thinks the government has the right to tell you what you will purchase? What is wrong with a country that believes the government has the right to force employers to provide people with every one of their needs? What is wrong with a country that thinks the government who cannot even run a post office efficiently should be in charge of health care? What is wrong with a country that believes that the goverment ( who declines more medical procedures than any insurance company) should be deciding who gets services and who does not?

I figure at least the Christian Republicans would be able to see that civil rights is also a moral issue.
