Currently I take school online. I did go to public school before, but I felt it was a waste of my time. Now I do online, and it’s too much to keep up with. I have a job right now, and between balancing that and school is hard. At my school they give me around 4 assignments each class every day for 8 classes. That is extremely hard to keep up with. I do not want to go back to public school either. I am 18 years old, so I WILL dropout. But I want to help them understand why. My dad dropped out of HS, and now makes over 200k a year. I do plan on getting a GED, and going to college, and then university. I just cant handle that school at the moment. No I cannot quit my job. I have lots of bills since my parents don’t help me out too much. I have 2 trucks, gas, insurance, etc. So leaving my job is out of the question. Any advice on smoothing this over with them? I gave background on my dad, but my mom is a Princeton Grad, and so school is very important to her. They are both extremely against dropping out. Just because you dropout doesn’t mean you wont make it anywhere in life. My dad should know that first hand.
