Is health insurance mess the Government’s way of handling Social Security deficits?

May 23, 2013 in Health insurance

If less people have access to good, affordable health care, they will die sooner and not need social security as they age. The way health insurance is currently structured guarantees that, as time goes on, fewer of us will be able to afford it, and therefore, go without. How can we fix this mess?

Is social working a good career choice?

May 17, 2013 in Insurance jobs and educations

I’m majoring in social working but I’m having some doubts. I don’t know how much the salary is because I get all different answers when I try looking it up. Is there anyone that is a social worker or knows the profession well enough to explain the pros & cons to me? I just wanted to know about the different areas I can specialize in and the difference in salary and fields of social working with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. If anyone could please just explain these few things to me I’d appreciate it greatly! thank you!

If Social Security is constitutional, how is Obama’s Health Care Reform unconstitutional?

April 17, 2013 in Health insurance

I hear many rants from conservatives about how Obama’s health care reform is totally and completley unconstitutional.

Question #1: If they are right, and it is unconstitutional, why is Social Secrity, Medicare, Medicaid, and unemployment insurance constitutional.

Question #2: If Republicans want to repeal health care on the basis of its unconstitutionality, how can they justify their support of Social Security, unemployment insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, since they are all also mandatory government programs?

Question #3: How do Republicans differentiate between Social Security and Universal health care?

New Policy Paradox; social security vs. drivers license, catch 22?

March 6, 2013 in General

Okay, fun. Recently arrested for driving on suspended license due to my lizard-headed insurance company reporting my being behind on payment. No problem, right? Just pay the 60 dollar fine at DMV and get it reinstated before court date and everything can go back to normal (though giving serious thought to dropping the lizard and doing esurance after conflict is resolved.)

Should I take out a student loan and get into debt to save my social life and get on track with school?

January 17, 2013 in Insurance jobs and educations

Right now I’m 20 and living at home. I’m going to school on a scholarship that pays tuition only. It’s getting aggravating living with my parents and it’s hard for women to take you seriously as well. I have a job too, but I dont get paid enough to live by myself with my check. The loan would be for maybe five thousand dollars (Is that enough for a semester?) I want to buy a tv, maybe some stuff for the apartment because I wouldn’t have anything to start with, so I figure I need to take out a lot to pay for that. I could use my job to pay for rent and food. The loan would be for books, internet, insurance, cellphone, gas, and random other stuff that pops up. It would definitely help my confidence when talking to women and trying to host more friends which in turn helps you meet new people. That part figures in a lot. My job pays a good chunk of what I need, but for all the other stuff thats involved with moving out . . . i need more money.

How will Congress explain: Americans paid 45 years into Social Security but now there is no money for them?

January 16, 2013 in Insurance jobs and educations

The Americans who will retire in 2010 have paid into Soc Sec for 45 years, assuming they got their first real job at age 20. Perhaps the first generation who have paid in their entire lives, is starting to retire now.
How will Congress explain to those Americans that the money is gone?

I have social anxiety really bad, I am young and I have no insurance and cant afford any, what are my options?

December 20, 2012 in Insurance jobs and educations

I am scared of quitting my job because of the physical/mental effects of this new part of my life. I tremble, sweat, blush, racing heart beat, contstantly through the whole work day. I dread people coming in contact with me, this used to not be a problem for me at all!! I would rather die than talk to anyone, I am scared of the phones, sitting and eating with people. And the worst thing is I dont think I qualify for any health care programs, I am 20 years old.
