Why Are Still Some People Against Health Insurance Reform?

Even though there are 47 million of our citizens who go uninsured because they either cannot afford the outrageous premiums or they are denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition…plus many more millions who are underinsured or risk losing their coverage because of job loss or job change, there are still people who are against our president’s effort to reform the broken health insurance system; some obviously against their own interests. Why?

I saw a question asked a couple minutes ago and was shocked at how people are saying that humans do not deserve health care. I will never see these people’s point of view, but hopefully one day your family is never in some deep sh*t when an insurance company decides that YOUR life or your families life is no longer important. Then you’ll see how stupid your words really are.

In the land of the free, should the police be able to randomly stop people and ask for ID?

Should they be able to detain them if they can’t produce it? Should we all be required to carry identification papers?

How can I encourage people to be interested in marriage rights for gay and lesbians?

I am doing a speech on legalization of Gay and Lesbian Marriage for a targeted audience with the majority with no opinion on the topic. How can I make them interested in the topic? Why should they care if they are heterosexual?
Any suggestions on how to have a more persuasive speech are welcomed. I just think if a gay or lesbian couple want to get married they should be able to. I care about this issue even though I am heterosexual. How can I make others care as well?

Why do people think health care reform has failed based on Sebelius’s statement?

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius only said “a government-run insurance option is not essential to President Obama’s health care goals”. The public option is only part of health care reform.
