After the election this year, will we see a change. Will we see an America the really stands on its principle of open oppurtunity for all, or will continue to place an attack on the middle class

What would a capitalist health INSURANCE system look like?

January 12, 2013 in General

A fundamental problem with using the word “capitalism” is that it has come to be associated with the idea of “favorable to big business”.  For this reason large corporations proclaim their love for “capitalism” while simultaneously, intentionally or not, doing everything in their power to subvert its basic principles.  Also for this reason, those who are not happy with what they, sometimes correctly, see as bad behavior on the part of large corporations, loudly rail against the evils of “capitalism”.  One is just as wrong as the other.  I argue that capitalism is not necessarily favorable to big business, in fact if fairly applied, capitalism would never result in the large mega-corporations we see today nor the influence that they have on our economy and government.

Look What I Got…

letter from insurance company

Not a great picture, I know.  Also backwards.  But it’s not how it looks that is important, it’s what it says:

The Lifetime Benefit Maximum provision as listed in the BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS section and the LIFETIME MAXIMUM provision in the PROGRAM PAYMENT PROVISIONS section of your Policy are deleted in their entirety.

Do creditors look at Unpaid Dr.Bills when someone wants to build a home, even though other bills are on time?

December 29, 2012 in Insurance jobs and educations

I get sick often and i have insurance with my husband’s job. We plan on building a house next year. Will banks and creditors look at those doctor bills under his name even though he has perfect credit with everything else. And are creditors lenient toward doctor bills? Besides the doctor bills are the only delinquent bills under his name, but that is my fault. His credit is A1 besides that. He’s never been late on a bill in his life and he has been having credit since he was nineteen and now he’s 29.

Why do people look down upon teenagers?

October 31, 2012 in Insurance jobs and educations

I’m a 16 year old girl and have some self esteem issues. But the thing is, none of these issues are caused by other teens my age, but by the constant comments of adults all around me– family and strangers. Left and right I hear people saying teenagers are stupid, irresponsible, spoiled, lazy, unappreciative, have no idea what reality is, etc. My own parents and aunts/ uncles talk like this joking around with each other and they don’t realize how hurtful it is. Everyone is a teenager at some point, and for me it seems to be the hardest part of life because of how everyone sees you. I feel like people are blaming us for still being dependent on our parents, but of course we are, we aren’t 18 yet! The truth is, I’ve been on Honor Roll my whole life. I’ve never been in any trouble, and although I can’t seem to find any work in my town (have applied for 6 jobs but no one seems to be hiring), I babysit often and that allows me to pay for my own gas and insurance (no car payments, it’s an old family car) and for things I want once in a while, like clothes, etc. I understand that some teenagers are irresponsible, but why do adults lump us together as one group?
