Announcing the Best Guarantee in a Long Term Care Policy

December 23, 2013 in General

Are you 60 to 70 years old? If not you, maybe a family member? Then you’re about to discover something that could help prevent the total devastation of your personal estate.

Truth is, it’s likely the most important asset you could ever own. Here’s why.

For over 24 years, I have helped hundreds of individuals understand and implement money saving ideas. From birth to death I’ve witnessed families in every financial situation.

As my clients age (and me, too), I can tell you without hesitation the biggest fear of growing old is losing your ability to remain independent.

All About Long Term Care Insurance

July 12, 2013 in General

BOSTON (CBS) – Long-term care is the care needed for individuals with chronic disabilities. This care could be in the individual’s home or it may mean custodial care in a nursing home.

According to the Census Bureau, about 4% of the 65+ population occupy nursing homes at any given time.

There are only 1.7 million nursing home beds (in about 17,000 nursing homes) and of those only 1.3 million beds are occupied with 70% of the residents relying on Medicaid to pay bills that average $83,000 a year.

How long do employers (especially temp agencies/contract agencies) have to keep records of your employment?

June 14, 2013 in Insurance jobs and educations

I no longer temp but used to and can’t believe I stayed in that industry so long. What a scam some of these guys have working… I worked for one agency for two years back in the mid-90s. Same job assignment even. (Yes, that was an incredibly foolish thing to, especially considering I did not like temping but that’s another story.) I digress…

How long did it take the people of Massachusetts to figure out how to milk mandatory health insurance?

June 8, 2013 in Health insurance

Here is what they do.

They refuse to buy insurance and pay fines (that’s cheaper)
Whenever they anticipate significant health care spending, they buy insurance for $1000.
Then quickly they have all their surgeries, insurance pays $20,000
Three month later they terminate insurance and switch to cheaper fines.

When health care reform passes how long do we wait until we can see a doctor for free?

May 8, 2013 in Health insurance

Health care reform is to provide health insurance for those of us who don’t have it. I not only don’t have it but I have some health conditions that need treatment for. If the president signs the bill into effect by the end of the year which is what he is saying he plans will happen, by January 1 can I make an expense paid free appointment for the doctor of my choice?

Yes it does mean free health care. He said so himself, he said those who don’t have it will.

How long does auto dealer in Arizona have to secure financing on a “spot delivery” purchase?

March 23, 2013 in Insurance jobs and educations

I left dealership on Monday 29 May 06 with a used vehicle. I would like to restructure the contract at a lower price or return vehicle and get my trade-in back. I signed a document stating that after five business days the dealer may request the vehicle back on their request if they are unable to secure financing. So I called and told them to either lower the price of the car to the total I am able to get financed through my bank or give me back my trade. They said “they have as long as the want to find financing”. Is this true? What are options here?
