Hilary Clinton and John Edwards have both announced health care plans recently. Both are not “universal,” in the sense that everyone is covered under the government’s plan. Rather, the plans force people to buy insurance. These people will then receive some kind of tax credit or subsidy. In Clinton’s plan there is a provision to remove a companies right to deny coverage of pre-existing or genetically-induced conditions.
Why create a system with this many holes? This forces companies to serve people with existing conditions: it does not ban them from charging rediculous rates. If anything, this will just cripple Americans more as their wallets are robbed by a joint Clinton-Insurance Company taskforce.

pharmacare2020.ca Pharmacare 2020 is a national symposium on prescription drug coverage in Canada. It is an evidence- and experience-informed conversation about equity, affordability, innovation and more. This conversation comes at a critical time. Canada is the only country in the world that excludes prescription drugs from its system of universal health care insurance. Drug spending is higher and growing faster in Canada than in other countries. And more and more Canadians are having difficulty affording the prescription drugs they need. It is time to create a clear vision for pharmacare in Canada.

I had been very successful in medical sales both in wound care and medical devices for the last ten years. The company I had been working for just closed their division so I am no longer working and it seems hard to get another job. Why is this the case and does anyone have any suggestions?
Forced placed insurance can be the final nail on your homes coffin or the final determination of you losing your home to foreclosure.

BORROWERS who allow their homeowners’ insurance to lapse will often get stuck with a bill for much more expensive coverage, courtesy of their lenders.
Called force-placed or lender-placed insurance, these policies protect banks’ interests when borrowers fail to follow through on the standard loan requirement that they maintain continuous coverage on their home.
We were just informed that overtime is now mandatory and lunch will be brought in so that we can keep working. Traditionally, we have worked 40 hour weeks. We are underwriters and work in Kentucky. Where can we go to reseach this further?
Wall Street’s control of health care is exposed in a march/speak-out today that starts at the offices of Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, a subsidiary of WellPoint, the largest publicly-traded health insurance company. We are gathering at Liberty Square at 3pm and marching at 4:30pm!
Empire is housed across the street from the OWS encampment in the same building as Brookfield Properties, the multinational that owns Liberty Square (formerly Zuccotti Park). WellPoint’s CEO, Angela Braley, was compensated $13.1 million dollars last year.
Other targets include WellCare, the for-profit company that administers Medicaid and Medicare Advantage programs in New York and other states, currently being investigated for illegally siphoning $400-$600 million from programs like Medicare and Medicaid.
provide it’s employees who receive medical insurance benefits ‘birth control’ coverage? WHY? When the employee takes the job with the employer in question they should know the beliefs of that employer…if they cannot live with those beliefs then don’t take the job….that seems simple enough. Then there is the FACT that state and local health department clinics offer birth control at little to no cost…
I asked this question and think some of you missed the point. I am not attacking the health care policy. I am not attacking whether or not it’s a good idea or bad idea. I am attacking the thought process that because certain people think it’s a good idea, why then do they feel they have the right to force those that don’t agree to comply.
The health care bill just is the issue at the moment because it’s the big talk, big deal. But this reasoning can be applied to ANY and ALL government policies.
