Why are some people so worried about the health care legislation?

May 19, 2013 in Health insurance

…Yet they have no qualms whatsoever about insurance companies and CEO’s control their health care, deciding if they should be allowed coverage or not, and coming between them and their doctor?

If you think insurance companies are so evil why not pay for your health care yourself with cash?

May 17, 2013 in Health insurance

Then you will say its TOO EXPENSIVE I cant afford that!

But it wont be the insurance companies fault anymore will it?

So is the insurance companies really the problem here? Or the high cost of health care?

What is Obama going to do to lower the COSTS? My guess is nothing besides blaming it on the insurance companies.

Why are private insurance companies working so hard to sabotage health care reform?

May 16, 2013 in Health insurance

You have to ask why are private insurance companies spending millions to lobby against passing reforms including the “public option”?

The insurance companies are fighting pretty hard to stop health care reform so it must be because the changes would lower their profits and benefit all of us.
I doubt that insurance companies will go out of business because a small percent of households qualify for government health plan. According to some sources only 10 million would actually enroll in a public plan. Those insurers you are worried about have other subsidiaries and interests and are not only in health insurance. You should be more concerned about your countrymen than the profits of an insurance conglomerate

Forced purchase of Health Care: a compromise of bad and worse?

May 15, 2013 in Health insurance

Hilary Clinton and John Edwards have both announced health care plans recently. Both are not “universal,” in the sense that everyone is covered under the government’s plan. Rather, the plans force people to buy insurance. These people will then receive some kind of tax credit or subsidy. In Clinton’s plan there is a provision to remove a companies right to deny coverage of pre-existing or genetically-induced conditions.

Why create a system with this many holes? This forces companies to serve people with existing conditions: it does not ban them from charging rediculous rates. If anything, this will just cripple Americans more as their wallets are robbed by a joint Clinton-Insurance Company taskforce.

Why Do You Think America Should Have Universal Health Care Coverage?

May 14, 2013 in Health insurance

My reasons:
1) Medical expenses are the #1 cause of financial bankruptcy.
2) Poor people without insurance go to Emergency Rooms, where, by law, they cannot be denyed treatment. This is ultimately payed by taxpayers, and is more expensive.
3) The burden of health care shouldn’t be on employers.

Why do you think America should have universal health care coverage?

Why do the Repubs care about the 60k protesting health care, but not the 10 million who protested the Iraq war?

May 13, 2013 in Health insurance

So, since you Republicans are wetting your pants over the fact that some 60,000 insurance goons (err, sorry, Americans) were protesting health care reform in the Capitol, how come you guys didn’t care when 10 million people worldwide (include over a million in the USA) protested the Iraq War in February 2003?

Hypocrites.

Does anyone have a really cool job working in the health care industry?

May 11, 2013 in Health insurance

I’m trying to decide which direction to follow in the health care field. I love helping people both physically and spiritually but I have a bit of a back problem so I am leaning more towards something less physical. I don’t like dealing with insurance companies and billing departments. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am a fun, nurturing person with a lot to offer, I just need a push in the right direction, thanks!

How come private health care didn’t disappear in the UK, Australia, Ireland, France and NZ?

May 11, 2013 in Health insurance

With the introduction of public health care? I thought that if a nation got public health care it would drive the private sector out of business, but this does not appear to be the case as those nations have a viable private sector to complement the public sector and private health insurance, particularly from what I have seen of BUPA in Ireland, is more affordable than many of the policies I have seen for individuals in the USA.
PZNBOB,
Explain to me how Ireland is “going to hell in a handbasket.” Yes, Ireland is in recession right now and unemployment is up to 13.9% at the moment, however, Ireland is still ranked consistently high in all surveys regarding quality of life. Look them up as they are on the Internet. As for FOX News, it’s one of many news sources. I am fluent in other languages, so I can get my news from far more sources than a lot of people. For example, as I speak French I can get news from Canada, Haiti, France and much of Africa; being fluent in Spanish, I have Spain and all of Latin America; having studied Portuguese, I can make my way through newspapers from Angola, Mozambique, Brazil, Portugal, Macau, Goa, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Sao Tome & Principe and East Timor. It lifts me from the restraints in regards to domestic media. When I want conservative news, I go to intelligent sources, e.g., National Review, The American Spectator, The American Conservative, not its dumbest.

How can people actually believe humans do not have the right to health care?

May 9, 2013 in Health insurance

I saw a question asked a couple minutes ago and was shocked at how people are saying that humans do not deserve health care. I will never see these people’s point of view, but hopefully one day your family is never in some deep sh*t when an insurance company decides that YOUR life or your families life is no longer important. Then you’ll see how stupid your words really are.

Peace
