Please explain how you can believe a candidate who promises “change” but doesn’t say how he will do it? ?

Talk is pretty cheap! Promises are empty until they are kept! Obama has said he will
Jump start the economy….but doesn’t say how.
Create jobs……..but doesn’t say how.
Support small business…..but doesn’t say how.
Protect home ownership….but doesn’t say how.
Crack down on mortgage fraud…….sorry, it’s too late for that.
Reform bankruptcy laws…..but doesn’t say how.
“Give” all americans “affordable health insurance….see the problem with that statement….but doesn’t say how.
“Redistribute wealth” to the middle class…..I hope you will all be happy with the $500.00 savings this will bring you.
These are just some of the “promises”…..how sad that everyone believe even a single word.
I understand he is running against what most believe is a failed administration….HUGE advantage…”Change” is what people want. Why can’t anyone see that he is a great talker who has the backing of the media and “celebrity”…….who are glamorized and idolized in this country. His past experience at balancing a budget is his own personal checkbook…..yet he says he can do miracles.
Please do not slam McCain/Palin……I am not particularly happy with these people either…..Frankly both candidates bother the hell out of me….. but Obama scares the $hit out of me!
His site says NOTHING about any plans he has………..
His site says NOTHING about any plans he has………..

McCain/Palin have promised change yet continue to recite Bushisms left and right. So there is no way to trust them. They’ll do the same things as the last 8 years.

Here is a little hint:
You know what the Internet is right?
You know how to use a search bar right?
Try search for the candidate’s web-page and reading it rather than parroting tired old talk radio talking points designed to keep people who are already misinformed, in the dark.
It is much harder to break view down into its every little detail in few second sound-bytes on TV.

Have you visited his website or accessed other outlets for this information?
Or are you waiting for him to stop by for coffee and explain it personally?
The information is out there.

The simple fact of the matter is that when Obama becomes President, the Executive and Legislative branches will be Democratically aligned, an event that hasn’t happened in this millenium.
That, de facto, is change.

If you can read he has laid out a plan… I have yet to see McCain’s plan. I just keep hearing about him being a POW. So is boss but he cant run the country.
Obama Will and has laid out plans for:
Jumpstart the Economy
Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief
Trade
Job Creation
Support Small Business
Labor
Protect Homeownership and Crack Down on Mortgage Fraud
Address Predatory Credit Card Practices
Reform Bankruptcy Laws
Work/Family Balance
Jumpstart the Economy
Enact a Windfall Profits Tax to Provide a $1,000 Emergency Energy Rebate to American Families:Barack Obama and Joe Biden will enact a windfall profits tax on excessive oil company profits to give American families an immediate $1,000 emergency energy rebate to help families pay rising bills. This relief would be a down payment on the Obama-Biden long-term plan to provide middle-class families with at least $1,000 per year in permanent tax relief.
Provide $50 billion to Jumpstart the Economy and Prevent 1 Million Americans from Losing Their Jobs: This relief would include a $25 billion State Growth Fund to prevent state and local cuts in health, education, housing, and heating assistance or counterproductive increases in property taxes, tolls or fees. The Obama-Biden relief plan will also include $25 billion in a Jobs and Growth Fund to prevent cutbacks in road and bridge maintenance and fund school repair – all to save more than 1 million jobs in danger of being cut.
Provide Tax Relief for Small Businesses and Start Up Companies: Barack Obama and Joe Biden will eliminate all capital gains taxes on start-up and small businesses to encourage innovation and job creation. Obama and Biden will also support small business owners by providing a $500 “Making Work Pay” tax credit to almost every worker in America. Self-employed small business owners pay both the employee and the employer side of the payroll tax, and this measure will reduce the burdens of this double taxation.
Create a National Network of Public-Private Business Incubators: Barack Obama and Joe Biden will support entrepreneurship and spur job growth by creating a national network of public-private business incubators. Business incubators facilitate the critical work of entrepreneurs in creating start-up companies. Obama and Biden will invest $250 million per year to increase the number and size of incubators in disadvantaged communities throughout the country.
Labor
Obama and Biden will strengthen the ability of workers to organize unions. He will fight for passage of the Employee Free Choice Act. Obama and Biden will ensure that his labor appointees support workers’ rights and will work to ban the permanent replacement of striking workers. Obama and Biden will also increase the minimum wage and index it to inflation to ensure it rises every year.
Ensure Freedom to Unionize: Obama and Biden believe that workers should have the freedom to choose whether to join a union without harassment or intimidation from their employers. Obama cosponsored and is strong advocate for the Employee Free Choice Act, a bipartisan effort to assure that workers can exercise their right to organize. He will continue to fight for EFCA’s passage and sign it into law.
Fight Attacks on Workers’ Right to Organize: Obama has fought the Bush National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) efforts to strip workers of their right to organize. He is a cosponsor of legislation to overturn the NLRB’s “Kentucky River” decisions classifying hundreds of thousands of nurses, construction, and professional workers as “supervisors” who are not protected by federal labor laws.
Protect Striking Workers: Obama and Biden support the right of workers to bargain collectively and strike if necessary. They will work to ban the permanent replacement of striking workers, so workers can stand up for themselves without worrying about losing their livelihoods.
Raise the Minimum Wage: Barack Obama and Joe Biden will raise the minimum wage, index it to inflation and increase the Earned Income Tax Credit to make sure that full-time workers earn a living wage that allows them to raise their families and pay for basic needs.

They are in Denial and Hate Bush so much for all the natural distasters and terrorist attacks etc. They have no clue to reality that in fact that its not all of Bushes fault that many many many Democrats especially the majority congress has screwed up more than Bush has.
Bill Clinton could have put away Bin Laden – do you hear blame on him? Al Qaeda was around way before Bush.
McCain / Palin
is our only hope!

Obama has outlined his change. Months ago.
Only McCain, who came to it all rather suddenly when he saw how the public wanted real change, has remained vague. Mostly because he offers none.
90% with Bush says it all…
The Bridge to Nowhere… this has a greater meaning then just the lies McCain’s handlers have used to try to clear Palin of her part in it…
It defines the change they offer.

Oh, I think we know how he will keep all of these welfare promises. He will down-size the military, bring home the troops and fall-out be damned. But plenty of people will be added to the welfare dole, as he discovers there aren’t enough “rich people” to carry his burden.
What I’d like to hear is his “plan” for forcing middle class Americans to continue going to work.

the Saul Alinsky school of socialism teaches its students to preach big ideas but refuse to divulge details. “Progress” and “Change” are just big ideas.
if and Alinsky’s followers become the government there will be change alright — much higher taxes, loss of freedoms, handouts for the class that lacks “justice”, and a packed Supreme Court to make it all seemingly legal.

You are ignorant of Obama’s positions and the only reason for that is you have not been listening to what he has actually said and obviously haven’t done even the slightest amount of research. His positions are spelled out clearly on his web site. There are policy statements and transcripts of his speeches on the site as well as links to video of his speeches. If you actually do want to know what his positions are and how he proposes to achieve his goals, why don’t you try accessing that easily obtainable information? Or, are you just posting a rant to attempt to make a point (and doing it badly?)
Edited to add: Now you are simply not telling the truth. Really, how silly. The site has positions on a myriad of issues under the Issue Menu, more info under Topics and a link to many of his speeches as well. See the second link that goes to the issues section.

sorry to disobey you, but both candidates offer mere empty, meaningless rhetoric – I haven’t heard anything substantive coming out of any candidates mouth only a bunch of crapola which makes me believe it’s because they’re all just crapola themselves.
Have either of them addressed the current war and the 12 billion/month spent on keeping it going? Exactly where will all these tax windfalls come from? How can we continue funding the war and everything we’re already funding (add AIG to the ever-growing list) and reimburse tax monies, decrease taxes for start-ups, etc., etc., etc. Our state can’t balance it’s budget (not a first) and plan on taking 10% out of our pockets to add millions (maybe billions) in an effort to balance it. Why doesn’t California just go to the mint and order a batch of more money? It’s just as pointless as taking 10% (which is what I have over and above my ever-increasing expenses) then promise to return it?
Isn’t that taxation without representation?
I don’t give a rat’s butt what anybody says, talk is extremely cheap.

Amen…There is truth and curiosity in this well thought out question. And as always the split is about even, (Though the press is attempting to sway some to the left) it appears that for either side to specifically state a process that will lead to their “promises”…they would then be exposed to attacks and ridicule now…so they are waiting for the debates…that much closer to the election equals less exposure of a negative nature. As this unfold’s and we the people try to force others out of a long held belief…we are more and more missing the point that this is our land…and government is historically a self serving entity which often mask it’s conceit for the people with a smile and a sound bite and often an excuse followed by a season of election. We really can handle the truth…the truth is never on the table to examine.
